Coronavirus and mental health

Many reasons, from our wrong eating habits to our wrong life habits, made it easier for us to spread the coronavirus. Coronavirus affects not only our physical health but also our mental health. So what is mental health?

Mental health is explained as the state of being normal in terms of emotions, thoughts and behaviors.

To adapt to the stress of daily life without showing a mental and psychic disorder.

Social mental disorders appeared, especially during the coronavirus period, when we were imprisoned in homes. If you think you have one of these, be sure to get help.

What does the WHO say?

But at times like this, it’s not unusual for us to experience certain psychological disturbances. We recommend that you heed the WHO’s warning. However, Who’s director explained that the proportion between the pandemic and mental health is alarming. For more information, be sure to read the relevant article of the World Health Organization.

Some of the mental disorders that peak in this process are:

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Repetitive and addictive obsessive thoughts and behaviors.

Measures that need attention, such as wearing a mask, wearing gloves, and washing hands, can trigger anxiety disorders in people.

Borderline Personality Disorder

It is an unstable mood. People may feel very happy one day and very unhappy the other day. There are always surfing the tides between the emotions.

These people have many childhood traumas. During the corona process, the time spent with the spouse and the child at home, triggers childhood traumas by causing feelings of suffocation. These people want to relate from a distance. As proximity is stifling, distance is scary.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

It is seen that the person admires and exalts himself in an exaggerated way. He despises others as he glorifies himself. However, it looks like this from the outside. The person has a sense of worthlessness within himself.

People with this condition in the coronavirus process feel the feeling of worthlessness more intensely because they cannot receive approval and appreciation.
